chazthoughts.com / the photo blog of chaz cruz

my name is chaz cruz and I am a photographer splitting time between san diego and NYC. my specialties include weddings, fashion and lifestyle portraits. this blog is named after my obsession with "the office" and of a lovable character named creed bratton. he writes about his random musings under a blog titled "creed thoughts," so I thought I'd do the same and name it "chaz thoughts." so please, browse around and don't forget to leave me a comment or two.

I compiled a collection of my twenty favorite photographs I took during 2010. When I looked back over my work at the end of the year, these were the images I were drawn to the most. I can still remember the feelings I had when I took these, it ranged from euphoric to heart-wrenching. I decided to pair them with twenty of my favorite songs from 2010, while all the songs were not created last year, these are the songs that were my biggest inspirations to keep enhancing my life and my photography. A lot of this work I haven’t blogged yet, so look for the full sets coming soon, enjoy the photographs and enjoy the music.

I’m finally back from new york and wanted to post up an entry with the stylish duo that make up street etiquette, Joshua Kissi and Travis Gumbs. I met these two at self edge in new york and when they walked in, I knew I had to work with these fellas. they were recently featured in GQ as well as urban outfitters online, their style is amazing, they bring back style inspired by vintage photographs. we focused on the saddle shoe for our shoot, so after photographing them I definitely want to pick up a pair for myself. definitely check out their website and enjoy the photos and a big thanks to shannon sturgis for photographing along with me.
