I traveled an hour north of San Francisco to the charming city of Santa Rosa for engagement session with Angela and Josh. I went up into the mountains to their private land and was in awe of the views and the serenity. See you two in San Francisco in September.

Josh asked Angela to marry him as she was finishing off a half marathon.

The first two days were the traditional Cambodian wedding traditions, with the blessings and special ceremonies. While the last day was the party and man, did they party! But we had so much fun with everyone and it was definitely a wedding to remember or not remember, depending on how much Hennessy you drank, haha.

I thought it sounded cool as one of my best friends Jordan Josafat was going to be collaborating on designing a wall. The importance of the show didn’t hit me until I did a preview of Jordan’s work, I brought a camera to document some of his work, but upon walking through the Parachute Factory, I knew that I had to come back and photograph the art and the artists.

I was able to photograph a handful of the artists and about half of the finished walls, as I came a few days before the one day opening so many of the walls weren’t complete just yet. I took about 5-10 minutes with each artist and piece, as there was so much to photograph in the given time I had. The opening of the Parachute Factory looked insane, as I believe they hit maximum capacity only about two hours into the opening. I had met Melody and Curtis a few weeks after I moved to Brooklyn last year, they didn’t know that I have moved to NY yet so when we setup the consultation, we realized we only lived a few blocks from each other! I call it fate. So come there wedding day I knew it would be amazing, I had an awesome second photographer in Chanu of CIK Studios and Tim and Steve from Velare Imaginarium (whose video you can see at the end of the post). It was such a great day that spanned from Bryant Park & Hotel in Manhattan then heading up to the Bronx to the New York Botanical Garden. Definitely loved this one, you can even check out the feature on Style Me Pretty and the lovely introductory writeup that sums up Melody and Curtis’ wedding perfectly. Enjoy.
