Spent a fun filled morning with Bre on the beaches of La Jolla, got great shots along with getting hit by a wave, thank goodness for weather sealed cameras! Bre is an awesome girl, along with being an amazing surfer she is a painter as well, check out her website to see her work. We had a lot of fun and cracked a lot of jokes, it was a great way to spend a morning!

You can definitely see Bre's personality in these shots! I had to make a little animation out of it.

The sweetest name, Amy Ripp (short for Ripplinger), how cool is that!?! Haha, anyway, Amy and I have been trying to get together for a session and when we finally did we had a lot of fun ideas that we wanted to do. I wanted to get some movement in my shots, so Amy happily obliged and got moving for me! I also had an idea to get a little darker mood, so with the help of photographer/actress/make-up artist for the night, Emily Sandifer, we got the look I wanted.

Amy and I had a little hard time trying to get her eyes just right, I would have her squint for me to get a harsher look, then once that strobe goes off her eyes would shoot wide open. Haha, we kept trying for 5 minutes it was pretty hilarous. But I actually like her look in that shot instead of the harsher eyes, so it was all moot anyway. On to dancing!

I've wanted to do a personal vintage project for a few weeks now, even before my trip to WPPI. I had talked to a few people about trying to get it together and it seemed only natural that Andrea Krystine (with whom I've worked previously with on the candy shoot) would be a great subject. She has so many different looks that it would be easy to pull it off. Also a great thing was that she brought me to a new location that I had never seen, there are so many great hidden places in San Diego! I was very happy with these shots, so hopefully you will enjoy them as well!

Our makeshift train station, haha.

We went with a "no smile" session.

Just kidding, I can't resist making people smile!

these are some cool shots man! especially dig the first one.
