Before I get back into all the wedding posts, I recently photographed a fashion show put on by my friend and hairstylist July and all the great stylists at the salon she works at, Moda Hair Designs, located in Hillcrest. I went in early to photograph the preparation and then we headed to The Fleetwood in downtown for the event. The place was packed and the models were great, we had a lot of fun.

A few of the hair pieces on models Jackie and Anna.

Owner of Moda Hair Designs, BJ Noman, his wife Eva and July.

The birthday girl July and her main squeeze Edgar <I borrowed his 24-70 lens for the day, so half credit for all the shots goes to him!

July getting her birthday cake and blowing out the candles, I'm sorry I didn't get a view of teh cake, I was already drinking for half the day so I got a little lazy!

A group shot of the wine tasting crew, sans me of course.

But I will never forget the day that Mary told me she was engaged, I was on a break at a photoshoot when she called me.
"Hey Chaz, if I bought you a plane ticket would you go?"
Sure Mary.
"If I bought you a plane ticket to Hawaii would you go?"
Of course I would go to Hawaii.
"If I bought you a plane ticket to Hawaii to shoot my wedding would you go!?!"
Never!
Then I preceded to laugh and say of course I would do it! She then said one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me:
"If you were a girl, I would have made you my Maid of Honor."
That was very special to me, even though if I was a girl I still would've been her photographer (Chazmonia Cruz Photography). But I honored to be able to photograph my best friends wedding, its the best present I can ever give them.

We saw this great tree and Mary said she wanted to climb in it, so I said like "K-I-S-S-I-N-G?" Haha, so we came up with a great "save the date" slogan!

I like how in one of the pictures, Chris Merto is in the background holding TWO beers!! haha love it and love the pictures!
